ABSTRACT
The article presents a study on the environmental effects of nuclear energy production in the U.S. In this report, the author emphasizes the environmental pollution brought about by the increasing nuclear energy production. According to the author, construction of power plants with large capacity creates serious implications for the freshwater or marine ecology in which the waste is disposed. Some of the factors contributing to the increase in electric power generation include energy consumption and population growth.
