ABSTRACT
The article provides information on issues concerning the real estate industry in Great Britain which were featured in the July 13, 1996 issue of the "Estates Gazette." Ted Hartill, city surveyor for Corp. of London, was concerned over the possible impact of the termination of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors on the international influence of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Food chain Pret a Manger is planning to open 150 branches throughout the region within four years.
