ABSTRACT
This article contends that the immigration laws enacted by the U.S. Congress have served the country's interest as it preventing from exacerbating the already critical unemployment and economic depression in the country. The law has restricted immigration from Europe. The immigration restriction law was necessary for the self-preservation of the country. And this law has enjoyed the support of the majort of citizens of the U.S.
