In the study, the institute has criticised the sensational language used by the government, media and pressure groups to debate issues surrounding climate change. They suggests that the communications from government and green groups should treat climate-friendly activity as a brand that can be sold, making it feel natural to the large numbers of people who are currently unengaged with the problem. The report has been met with some dismay amongst environmental communications expert.
