The article focuses on the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian militant group, Hamas, which controls the Palestinian government, and the role of U.S. news agencies in reporting the conflict. Israel came down heavily on Gaza after one of its soldiers was captured in an attack by Hamas. Hamas leaders constitute both radical and moderate factions in their policies regarding Israel. U.S. media agencies are seemed to biased against Hamas and do not show reluctance in branding it as a terrorist organization. However, if these issues are neglected by the world audience, then it negates the possibility of cease-fire.
