ABSTRACT
The article reports on the protest of the Mexican government concerning the move of the U.S. to build a 700 miles of fence along its border as part of its crackdown on illegal immigration. The Mexican Foreign Relations Department cites that the move will affect the foreign relations between the two countries. However, proponents and those in favor of the fencing believes that it will give the U.S. control of its borders. The proposal for fencing has been approved by the U.S. Senate.
