The article reports that Polo Ralph Lauren Corp. plans to open two units in the Moscow, Russia area in spring 2007. For the Moscow venture, Polo has partnered with Mercury Distribution S.A., the luxury goods trading company that operates fashion retail business. Polo chairman and CEO Roger Farah have made freestanding stores a priority for growth. The company has also been pursuing other global opportunities.
