ABSTRACT
The article discusses the farmland market in Great Britain from January to June 2004. According to FPDSavills Farmland Value Survey, around 65,300 acres of farmland were marketed in Great Britain for the first two quarters of the year. There was about 25% less farmland marketed in England and Wales. According to the RICS survey, the demand for commercial farmland rose faster in the second quarter of 2004 than anytime since it began in 1999.
