ABSTRACT
The article focuses on various studies related to adult literacy in Canada. Many recent studies have examined the role of literacy in various families and communities in the country. The Survey of Labour and Income Dynamics found that workers who participated in adult education made significant gains in wages. Paul Cappon, the president of the Canadian Council on Learning, says that workplace training and adult literacy levels in Canada are much lower compared to other countries.
