ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the Energy Policy Act of 2005 that is intended to serve the U.S. with energy self-sufficiency. The policy directs states to upgrade their standards for interconnecting on-site power generation with public grid. A study of the potential benefits of cogeneration and small power production needs to be conducted by the U.S. Department of Energy and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
