ABSTRACT
This article deals with China National Chemicals Import & Export Corporation's expansion into shipping and its potential effect on liquid chemical sales. The Chinese firm's capital spending is expected to focus on buying vessels that ship liquid-based chemicals, according to Benjamin Young, an analyst with KGI Securities in Beijing. KGI estimates that demand for liquid chemicals in China will grow by at least 30% year-on-year from 2006 to 2011.
