ABSTRACT
The article focuses on Proclamation 8111 or the implementation of the Dominican Republic-Central America-U.S. free trade agreement with respect to the Dominican Republic and for other purposes, which was signed by U.S. President George W. Bush. A section of the Act authorizes the president to proclaim such modifications or continuation of duty. It is also stated that each country is to be removed from the enumeration of designated beneficiary for the benefits of the Generalized System of Preferences.
