ABSTRACT
The article discusses the issue of television programming for children. The author notes that the topic in debate is the balance between responsible, educational topics and advertisements for products that educators and nutritionists believe aren't good for children. Also noted is a report by the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Health and Human Services stating that since 1980 the rate of obesity in adolescents has tripled.
