ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a study of Medicaid future funding requirements in the U.S. conducted by the Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured. The study found that there has been no careful evaluation made on long-term Medicaid spending and the availability of government revenues to support it. The main policy implications of the study are noted, including the fact that governors and state legislatures and federal policy makers can freely make Medicaid program changes.
