ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the initiatives developed by several companies in the information technology sector to show that they are embracing virtues of corporate social and environmental responsibility. Dell Inc. has launched its "plant a tree for me" program at the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Chipmaker VIA also revealed that its new C7-D chip would be carbon-neutral from an energy consumption perspective.
