ABSTRACT
The article discusses observations regarding manufacturing deduction flaws which resulted from low marginal tax rates in the U.S. The author estimates the lost tax benefit of firms for the 2000-2004 taxable period. He states that the deduction accounts for 3 percent of the qualified production income or taxable income.
