ABSTRACT
The article offers information about the Groundwater Treatment Plant built by Orica Australia in Botany Bay, New South Wales. The plant was built to treat contaminated groundwater and produce high quality water for re-use. The process involves air stripping volatile contaminants from the groundwater, followed by destruction of the contaminants using a high destruction efficiency thermal oxidation unit, and final purification of the water for reuse.
