ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the career background of Arnold Vosloo, a South African actor who takes the role of Imhotep in the 1999 released film "The Mummy." Born into a theatrical family, Vosloo took to the stage as a classically trained actor in his homeland. In the early 1990s, he was invited to appear in his first American theatrical production in Chicago, Illinois wherein director Ridley Scott noticed his imposing stage presence, thereby, landing a role in the latter's film "1492."
