ABSTRACT
The article assesses the rights of members of the National Guard and Reserves under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) of 1994, as well as legislation needed to address other benefits due to civilian employers who employed them when they transition from military service to civilian function. Aside from the rights and procedures outlined in the USERRA, the article considers the evolution of the U.S. military force.
