Academic Leader;Jul2007, Vol. 23 Issue 7, p5
The article reports on the institutionalization of undergraduate research at Bridgewater State College. It discusses the decision of the administrators to make the undergraduate research a formal part of the learning experience across the college. It also discusses the goal of the undergraduate research which is to introduce the students to the methodology of the discipline. It is suggested that the undergraduate research is not limited to grant-funded projects. It becomes a confidence-building experience for the students and requires a lot of individual mentoring.
