ABSTRACT
The article discusses the study which examines the positive and negative experiences of visitors during their museum visits. The subjects, art students, were asked to reflect on their most positive and most negative experiences as museum visitors and discuss the reasons for the differences in the quality of their experiences. The study found that the factors responsible for the quality of museum experience were the exhibition environment and the preparation of visitors for museum visit. It suggests that museum staffs must plan the exhibition that would best accommodate the expected crowd to help visitors gain positive experiences.
