ABSTRACT
The article discusses the processes involved in carbon offsetting developed by The Carbon Trust in Great Britain. The first stage focuses on addressing direct emissions in a cost-effective and efficient manner. Once an organization has come up with an emissions reduction plan, it will then examine opportunities to lessen direct emissions by working with firms across the supply chain. Finally, the companies that decide to include offsetting in their carbon management should define a strategy.
