ABSTRACT
This article presents information on contribution of V. S. Pritchett in travel writing. It is stated that Pritchett wrote number of books on traveling including "Marching Spain," in 1928 "The Spanish Temper," in 1954 and "The Offensive Traveller," in 1964. It is stated that "The Offensive Traveller," is a well written book and is better than his previous works. The book presents information on Eastern Europe covering countries like Czechoslovakia, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania. It is noted that Pritchett did not mentioned anything about the end of Cold War and of the USSR in his books.
