ABSTRACT
The article discusses the importance of regulating gun ownership in reducing gun-related violent crimes in the U.S. Factors that contribute to the high rate of gun-related violence in the country include the large number of guns in circulation and the lack of comprehensive, uniform gun laws. It is asserted that the stringency of a country's gun laws influence the rate of gun violence in that country.
