ABSTRACT
The article discusses how forests are linked to climatic changes and their role in creating microclimates and in modifying the impacts to such changes. It states that global warming is caused by carbon dioxide emissions and trees remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through photosynthesis and carbon sequestration. Forests are under pressure in lessening the impacts of climatic change and there is a need to manage forests to provide practical solutions to global warming.
