The article discusses issues on the approval of the 51GB, triple-layer, single-sided HD DVD of Toshiba by the DVD Forum. The DVD Forum offered no comment regarding the said approval. The HD DVD is reported to have surpassed the 50GB of the Blu-ray Disc. Andy Parsons, U.S. promotions group chairman of the Blu-ray Disc Association, raised questions regarding production issues of the 51GB HD DVD.
