Regulators Should Push Insurers On ERM

The article focuses on the need of regulators to push insurers on enterprise risk management (ERM) programs. The author stresses that ERM provides a more complete picture of risks and enables management to better manage these risks. He emphasizes that no regulator can gain an insight into an insurer's risks as a company can using its own ERM program. He asserts that insurance regulators have the most leverage to drive more firms to develop ERM programs.
