ABSTRACT
The article highlights the Westmill Wind Farm Co-operative in England. Adam Twine, who owns the Oxfordshire farm, initiated the community-owned Co-operative. Twine states that all the cost is being borne by the people who are using the electricity. He raised 4.4 million sterling pounds from 2,000 investors, half of which are living within a 25-kilometer radius of the farm. Twine narrates the troubles he has to go through in order to put up the Co-operative. He cites that Westmill is not just another wind farm but a principle that local people can get together and generate their own power.
