ABSTRACT
The article provides an assessment of the Tarapur Atomic Power Station's (TAPS) nuclear technology. TAPS uses an experimental nuclear reactor with various design imperfections which was designed and manufactured by the International General Electric Co. Since it was based on the boiling water reactor concept, TAPS has reportedly the smallest nuclear reactors in the world. High radioactivity levels which resulted to casualties have been recorded but were reportedly not made public.
