ABSTRACT
The article reports on a downturn in health and safety improvement within the heating and ventilating industry in 2007, according to research carried out among member companies of the Heating and Ventilating Contractors' Association (HVCA). The association undertakes an annual survey designed to gather up-to-date statistical information on accidents, incidents and resulting time off work owing to injury. Bob Towse of HVCA observes that the level of improvement is slowing, and in some areas is even going into decline.
