The article offers encouragement for people who are planning to start up a new routine in the U.S. Accordingly, the author weighted 323 pounds and plans to reduce 100 pounds of his body weight by June 2008. To have a motivation, the author and his friend put up a wager on who could lose the most weight by Christmas Eve of 2007. As a result, everyday he woke up early in the morning and head off on a 24 hour fitness center.
