ABSTRACT
The article focuses on citizen journalists and bloggers who are able to avoid censorship in China. Information is presented on Zhou Shuguang, a citizen journalist who has written blogs about his experiences as a resident undergoing a property dispute with developers. It relates how blogging and the Internet allowed citizens to report on sensitive issues like high-profile corruption cases and disasters. Bloggers in China have offered information on unreported student riots and the kidnapping of children and adults forced to work as slaves.
