ABSTRACT
The article presents an argument in favor of alternative energy exploration. The author argues that Canadian consumption has led to a dependency on foreign energy resources. The cost of alternative energy sources including wind, ocean waves, biomass conversion, and solar is compared to existing costs for petroleum, natural gas, and nuclear power. It is the author's opinion that Canada needs to conserve existing resources, reduce wasteful energy use, and develop alternative energy sources.
