ABSTRACT
The article presents an argument for sex education. The author argues that programs reduce teenage pregnancy rates, raise awareness concerning sexually transmitted diseases, and provide information that improves student self-confidence. Methods of teaching sex eduction to students from different religious, moral, and cultural backgrounds are discussed. It is the author's opinion that sex education should remain a required program in Canadian schools due to the service it provides teenagers.
