ABSTRACT
The article discusses the proposed changes to the Renewable Obligation and its benefits offered to fossil fuel generators that co-fire biomass in Great Britain. In the revised scheme, different technologies will be banded, qualifying for between 0.25 and 2 Renewables Obligation Certificates (Rocs) per MWh generated. Currently, all renewable technologies get 1 Roc per MWh.
