ABSTRACT
The article discusses the four human realities and approaches in designing effective incentives and recognition solutions. The four human realities are behavior is shaped by consequences, new behaviors are hard to learn, the power to choose and actions are based on emotions and rational thought. It is stated that addressing these four human realities with the right motivation elements help people achieve their performance goals.
