ABSTRACT
This article discusses the idea of geoengineering as a means to help slow and reverse the effects of global warming and climate change through directly altering the amount of solar radiation that reaches the earth. The article reports that since greenhouse emissions are not being cut as quickly as they need to be, geoengineering might need to be used as a last resort. A timeline of geoengineering events between 1969 and 2008 is also presented.
