The article focuses on some legislative acts aimed by the Military Order of the World Wars towards the improvement of the military's quality of life, modernization and readiness in the U.S. They include the National Defense Appropriations Act which would raise the pay for the military by 3.5 percent. The Wounded Warrior Act will also improve the management of medical care, disability evaluations, and the quality of life for soldiers who are recovering from illnesses and injuries.
