ABSTRACT
The article discusses research on the impact of episodic CD4 cell count-guided antiretroviral therapy (ART) on quality of life (QOL) of HIV-infected patients. It references a study by W. J. Burman and colleagues published in the February 1, 2008 issue of the "Journal of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndromes." The study discovered that continuous ART appeared to have a more favourable affect on QOL than episodic ART, during the first year of treatment.
