The article reports on the support rendered by the Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) to overall healthcare component of the final state-budget agreement in New York City. It states that the budget agreement also includes the call for reform by transitioning spending priorities to ambulatory and outpatient services. Government officials have met the challenge by balancing the need for fiscal restraint with shared obligation to provide critical healthcare services to the people.
