ABSTRACT
The article offers guidelines for U.S. political consultants and candidates on managing campaign funds. Federal, state and local jurisdictions all have different campaign finance rules, and consultants must know the parameter that applies to their race. Foreign nationals are prohibited by federal law from donating to candidates for federal, state or local office. Candidates can constitutionally contribute their personal funds to their campaign as they desire. Consultants should also pay attention to record keeping, reporting and disclaimer requirements.
