ABSTRACT
The article reports on the $168 billion economic stimulus package that was approved by U.S. President George W. Bush in early February 2008. The said stimulus package is expected to make buying, selling, and refinancing homes in the U.S. easier. The package also increases the ceiling on mortgages that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac can buy of up to $730,000. The overall package includes tax rebates of up to $600 for individuals, $1,200 for couples, and $300 for each child of the couple.
