ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the delisting of some listed endangered species, in which the author linked it to the success of the Endangered Species Act in the U.S. It cites the recent delisting of the bald eagle, Eggert's sunflower, the West Virginia northern flying squirrel and the Northern Rocky Mountain DPS of gray wolf and other endangered species. However, it says that recovery-related delistings of endangered species currently represent only about one percent of the currently listed species. In addition, the author notes that some people believe that the Endangered Species Act is not succeeding.
