ABSTRACT
The article describes a case method for use in the discussion of the desirability of developing an environmentally friendly approach to business in junior level students. The case examines corporate environmental responsibility, as well as strategic intent and marketing dynamics. The case focuses on Patagonia, a California outdoor clothing and equipment company wanting to become environmentally sensitive. It relates how Patagonia reduces its carbon footprint.
