The article highlights a case of a 35-year-old woman who was false positive for Brucella. It states that the patient was diagnosed for brucellosis based on the results of a Brucella immunoglobulin M (IgM) enzyme immunoassay (EIA) conducted in a commercial laboratory. But the finding was determined as false positive after a confirmatory antibody testing by Brucella microagglutination test (BMAT) was performed at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
