The article reports on the anticipation that as rebate checks go out to the American people, the U.S. economy is expected to benefit from the economic stimulus package, a law that provides tax rebates for low and middle income taxpayers. The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) asserts that businesses will also benefit from the provision. It is noted that AEM has supported the economic stimulus legislation, specifically on the provision of a bonus depreciation for businesses.
