ABSTRACT
The article discusses the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) plan known as "21st Century Disclosure Initiative." The plan is known as an ambitious effort in examining fundamental questions about the way the commission acquires information from public companies, mutual funds, brokers and other regulated entities, and the way it makes that information available to investors and the market. It aims to outline the attributes of disclosure system incorporating technology.
