ABSTRACT
The article focuses on Esperanza Spalding, an acoustic bass player and jazz vocalist. Spalding is a 23-year-old musician who sings English, Spanish, and Portugese simultaneously while playing the bass. Her debut album entitled "Esperanza" showcases many of her musical gifts. She started playing the violin at the age of five after watching cellist Yo Yo Maon Sesame Street. Among the songs in her CD (compact disc) include "Fall In," "Cuerpo Y Alma," and "If That's True."
