A Mother's Gift of Light

Tandon, Katie
July 2008
Spirituality & Health;Jul/Aug2008, Vol. 11 Issue 4, p34
The article reflects on a mother's gift of light to her son. She states that six months after her son was born, she resumed her meditation practice, with the addition, near the end of each practice, of the visualization of a golden light. The light reached from her heart to her son's heart so that he would know how much he was loved, and so he would be protected and soothed by this energy. When her son was five years old, he told her that his favorite thing to pretend is that he is the Master of Light. She also taught him to value the good in himself.
