ABSTRACT
The article reports on the growth of unemployment rate in Long Island, New York. According to the New York State Department of Labor, the local unemployment date was 4.7% in June 2008, up from 3.6% in June 2007. It is also reported that Nassau and Suffolk countries have added 1,088 private sector jobs for the 12 months ended June 2008, up just 0.2% compared to June 2007.
